  6. Masonry T 45 degree angle and 90 degree offset anchors have been deleted. These are not a valid OEW attributes

  9. Restrictions were found that contained old preps or options no longer available with the OEW update. Those that have been reported or discovered by Comsense have been corrected. Should you encounter any restrictions that are incorrect please advise Comsense Support immediately.

Example #1

Selecting proper door type is critical. Please read the descriptions carefully before choosing.

If you have any variation to a "Standard" door type you cannot use the same short description

Door Type V – is a standard size Dezigner trim kit for 1/4" glass at standard location for L, B and T Series door

If you require any change at all you would need to select a different door type

Example:

Door Type VD-2 – Same kit as above except 1/2" glass. Everything else is the same as the V door type

Door Type VS-N – This is a Dezigner V lite kit for Non-Labeled doors with a special size and/or location

Below is an example of the steps now required for the OEW update

Select VS-N as door type and press enter and the message below will be displayed. When you received this message or anything similar press enter, fill in the remainder of your door/frame requirements and then go to Prep and Add-on Charges window. Here you will need to enter specific information

When you enter into the Prep and Add-on Charges window, you will notice prep code SF8556 and VS-INFO in the Description column. This is because the VS-N type was selected and requires input from the user. Enter over to the Opening Notes column and press the F2 Key. The following options/selections will be displayed

Enter the required information as demonstrated below and add any additional preps. F9 to save the record

The information in the red box is required by OEW. This will also print on a standard purchase order.

Example #2

Enter special notes "other than those specific preps where user entry is required when selected", by selecting preps SF6116 or SF6117. F9 to save – DO NOTE USE AS A GENERIC NOTE FOR EVERYTHING

(Both notes have been selected for example/each note should be selected individually as required)

After saving, the window for the first prep note selected will appear with a blank Value field. Enter note as required, F9 to save.

After saving the prep note above enter the information in the Value field that is required, F9 to save.

This is how the Prep and Add-on field should appear with entries from the user.

This is the full test for prep SF6116

This is the full text for SF6117

Do not by-pass the window presented when these note preps are presented. However, if that should happen you can also move to the notes column and use the F2 key to access the required window for special information

Window presented after pressing F2 in notes field

Example #3

Typical prep entry for those that require information be provided to the factory/OEW

In Frame table HEADER PREPS select SF9324 CH-HD Conc OH Holder/Stop. Press F9 and you will immediately see the following screen.

The first three entries are user entered.

For the last entry press the F2 key under value on that line and select from the list presented as per below.

A single frame, or active leaf of a pair select - ACTIVE SIDE

Pairs have the additional options of INACTIVE SIDE OR BOTH SIDES

Your selection is then added to the value field. F9 to save the entered information

GLASS LITE w/STEEL TRIM for VARIOUS GLASS THICKNESSES

When you receive this message after selecting a door type always press the enter key to proceed. This will automatically load the required pre for entering specific information.

Prep required in this case (SF9358) is in the Prep and Add-on field. In the Notes field press F2 to display any required OEW engineering for this prep.

In some cases the value field may contain multiple choices. Press F2 to return any list of values.

Pressing F2 in the Value field next to Steel Trim Type displays the following values. Select one in this case.

In the case of the glass thickness, pressing F2 in the Value field will display the following values. The first two choices are for Dezigner Trim only. The remainder are for other than a Dezigner Trim. Select one value in this case.

With both value fields now populated, F9 to save.

In the prep and description window the notes field will populate with OEW descriptions and the user entered values, F9 to save or continue entering additional prep information and then save.

These are just some examples. Other door types will be similar. Follow the same rules as above.
