Comsense Opening Suite Enhancements
Quote Expiry Date field added to the Project Discounts Window and the Purchase Order Window
The user can now enter an expiry date for quotes entered in the system. The system would display the quoted expiry date in the Project Discounts window when entering the quote number, so that the project team knows when the quote will be expiring and needs to be renegotiated. Along with the quote expiry date, the complete detail discounting structure and Mfgr’s quote reference number is also displayed on the window.

Quote Expiry Date is also displayed in the Purchase Order window as a read-only field and cannot be edited.

Transmit Method field Removed
The transmit method field has been removed from Comsense Enterprise as it was redundant to the process flows.
Support for Linking Contact to User Profile in Advantage
Advantage now supports adding contacts to a user profile. This can be done in the User Preferences window.
Bug Fixes
- The bug regarding bank deposits ignoring validation checks against the closed fiscal periods in Comsense Enterprise system is resolved. Previously, when users were a part of multiple companies and the fiscal periods of these companies had a combination of closed and open periods, bank deposits ignored security validation checks against the closed fiscal periods for the security rights to journalize in closed periods. The system now validates the security check for the bank deposits against the company’s fiscal period rather than the user’s reporting division.
Ref # 942 - Hardware items in the Complete window while in the Read-Only mode can no longer be deleted by users. This was erroneously allowed earlier by the system.
Ref # 1257 - The Hardware Note fields are now highlighted in yellow to indicate that there is a Hardware Note associated with the opening, Previously, Hardware notes were not highlighted in the Complete window when the opening did not have a heading assigned to it.
Ref # 1258 - The bug regarding Prep & Kit Selection Maintenance selection displaying error when using a filter is now resolved. Previously, In the Prep & Kit Selection Maintenance selection, when a user attempted to apply filter by typing into a filter field, the system would display an error code 4101.
Ref # 1263 - Clicking the Create Preamble button to create a Preamble for a Detailed project opens the preamble document in Word. Previously, in such a scenario, the system failed to open the preamble document in Word.
Ref # 1265 - The bug regarding field retaining invalid property values is resolved. Previously, on entering property values in a field where alpha characters were not permitted, the invalid values were retained in the field by following the reproduction steps.
Ref # 1270 - The issue regarding automatic Source Separate unflagging for a copied quote in the Elevation Costing window is resolved and now the system does not remove the Source Separate flag for materials in an Elevation when the Quote is copied. Previously, when a user turned a quote with an elevation with materials flagged as Source Separate into a sales order, the Source Separate flag was unchecked in the Elevation Costing window.
Ref # 1278 - The issue regarding the system displaying the missing search criteria error while attempting to use the full description in a Product Search is now resolved. Full Description is now available to be used as a search criteria and the error ‘missing a search criteria’ is no longer displayed.
Ref # 1280 - The issue regarding images not getting selected for copied hardware items is now resolved. Previously, copying hardware items from an existing project did not copy the selected images, even if the images were saved to history. This also occurred when a project was duplicated. Now, images in the original project are selected on the copy of the hardware item.
Ref # 352 - The issue with columns collapsing momentarily in the Component Costing tab of the Pricing section of Comsense Advantage when toggling between tabs is now resolved, and columns no longer collapse while toggling between tabs.
- The issue regarding restriction on changing employee’s primary division in in Public> Enterprise > System Options > Employee is now resolved, and it is now allowed to change Division for an Employee. Previously, changing the division in the drop down menu of an existing line and attempting to save the system was not allowed by the system which displayed an error. In addition, users were allowed to add another line with a different division and save it but as soon as they flagged it as Primary, the system restricted the action and displayed an error.
- The issue regarding users encountering missing columns when replacing products on the Hardware screen is resolved, and the users can now reset the grid layout. Previously, issues were reported when users were working on product replacement on the hardware screen. The columns would get populated when users double-clicked on column to populate the advance grid and close it out, but encountered missing columns on Advance grid when attempting to replace products
Ref # 80629 - The issue regarding delivery instructions entered in the Advantage window not getting updated in Comsense Enterprise is resolved. Previously, while updating and saving the Delivery Instructions field in Advantage > ShipTo Info for Customer widow failed to update the delivery note in the Comsense Enterprise window. It also triggered the Costing to update in the Project Set up window . Now in such a scenario, the system triggers regenerating the sales order and updates the stats on clicking Save.
- The issue regarding the system allowing users to create and sell change orders even for completed projects has been resolved. Previously, the system incorrectly allowed selling of Misc Cost Change Orders on Completed Projects. Users were able to sell change orders without changing the project status back to released to create the change order or add Miscellaneous Cost Dollars to the change order. Now, on a sold change order, the system allows the user to only edit the cost of the misc items. The system does not allow users to add new misc items and when the project status is Complete nothing can be edited when the window is read only .
Ref # 216858 - The issue with the erratic tab behavior in the Complete screen of the Comsense Opening suite is now resolved. Previously, minimizing Advantage windows resulted in Door Leafs, Frame, Hardware, and Properties panes to push down to the bottom of the Complete screen.
- The issue regarding the system not allowing user-created manufacture records that have been deleted previously to be added again is resolved. This issue was encountered in Comsense Advantage and Enterprise in which users were not able to add manufacturers linked to a supplier record that had been created and deleted previously by the user on the Manufacture Maintenance window. Now users can add and delete manufacturer records linked to supplier multiple times.
- The issue regarding the system not allowing a user already existing on production database to be added to a training database is resolved. Now, a user record can be created on both training and production database separately.
- Updated Save and Close icons in multiple Comsense Opening Suite screens such as Detailing Doors, Frames, Hardware, Estimating Hardware, Doors, and so on for improving look and feel.
- In the Project Pricing window, the system previously erroneously allowed openings to be assigned to miscellaneous costs. The issue has been fixed now, the function is restored, and the above is no longer possible.
- In Report Management page, the issue regarding updated parameters in reports not getting saved correctly is resolved, and the software is working as designed and intended. The work order reports are printed using the settings from the Division assigned to the Sales Order and Project.
- The issue regarding the database getting locked due to errors encountered during selling a project is now resolved. Previously, while selling an Estimating Project, database table locks were encountered when saving the new Detailing project, thereby preventing other users from using the application.
- The defect in the Tax Selector Window causing incorrect changes in the tax codes has been resolved.
