Keep these things in mind when upgrading or introducing a new software program:

1.  Identify and Train “Power Users”

2.  Identify and train the “I’m OK with technology” crowd

3.  Use the buddy system with the “late bloomers”

Success with Advantage!

You are deciding whether or not to upgrade to Advantage.  Here are a few experiences that customers have had with Advantage that may help you make the upgrade decision even easier.

Entering 688 openings can be a large and daunting task.  Well this customer decided to put Advantage to the test.  With no training other than Comsense Inc. help files and the multimedia tutorial the customer reported that the software came through with flying colors.

Another customer reported that the Elevations plug in for Advantage made drawing and pricing frames a “no brainer.”  After years of drawing elevations by hand the customer decided to use Elevations for Advantage by Comsense Inc.  Elevations cut his drawing time by more than half and the auto pricing feature was down right “cool” not to mention the time that it saves.

Finally if you are a current user of AHM or AHM plus importing architects, customers, suppliers, door catalogs, frame catalogs, and hardware catalogs is an easy process.  You can upgrade to Advantage today!

Phasing In!

Introducing a new computer program or upgrading an existing program can cause shivers to run up and down the back of an IT director and beads of sweat to form on the brow of presidents, CEO’s, and owners.  However, phasing a software product in can help ease the anxiety.

Do the following and see your anxiety dissipate:

1.   Identify those in your organization that are “power users.”  You know the people who love technology and can’t wait for the next new thing.  Introduce the new software to them first.  Let them use the software for two weeks before letting anyone else in the company use the software.  Power users can assist in the transition.  Let’s face it everyone in the company knows who the power users are and will ask them for help.

2.   Identify the people who don’t have an aversion to new technology.  They are not power users, but they don’t mind changing as long as they have someone to assist in the change.  Make sure you have a good training program for these folks.  Have a power user, who is a good communicator and not easily frustrated, teach these people the ropes.

3.   Your late bloomers will be the group that never want to change.  For these people one on one training is best.  Identify a power user that is patient and assign him as the late bloomer’s buddy.

These three steps help you make the transition to new software a sweat free process.
